Hi and welcome to my webpage!  I'm a self-taught photographer with a passion for creating high contrast, black and white images that transform the world around us into visual art.  I love how pictures can say so much without making a sound, or uttering a word, especially when stripped down to a few basic elements.  I figured out pretty quickly that my photographic "eye" sees most naturally in black and white.  I'm drawn to interesting light and shadow, leading lines and symmetry.  My favorite images are those that make people see things they might see every day, in a completely different way.  To me, black and white images are a way to cut through the noise of our busy lives and capture a moment in time as its authentic essence.
